- Best Books Like Normal PeopleReading list
Like Normal People, The Interestings explores the intricacies of relationships and how they change over time. The novel follows a group of six teenagers who form an inseparable bond during a summer arts camp, and charts their journey through adulthood as their fortunes and talents diverge.

I loved The Interestings by Meg Wolitzer, Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell, She’s Come Undone by Wally Lamb and The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls.

The Interestings by Meg Wolitzer; Secondhand Souls by Christopher Moore; the Constitution of the United States of America; Shakespeare’s three Henry VI plays; a working draft of my next novel. (And too much news. I am trying to take a “news fast” because I’m feeling overwhelmed by the state of the world.)
