When someone asks you ‘what do you do for a living?’ – How do you respond?

I tell them that I’m a modern gladiator.  I cheat death on a nightly basis to entertain people.

I am currently reading The Death and Resurrection Show: From Shaman To Superstar by Rogan P. Taylor.

When you think about your childhood, what book comes to mind?

When I think about my childhood, I think of reading Houdini’s Escapes and Magic by Walter B. Gibson.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

I wanted to be a living legend.

Did you demonstrate an affinity with art as a child?

At age 8 I was performing already in the square of my little town of Borgo Valsugana, back in Italy.

What do you think your school aged self would think of the present day you?

He believed in his crazy dream and he made it, I want to believe in my dream too.

If you could wrap up a single book and gift it to yourself as you left education – which book would it be?

The one I ve not read yet.

Does your reading have routine? Is there a particular time or place that you like to read?

Usually I like to read whenever I find a quiet spot of silence.

Which book has had the biggest impact on your career so far?

I can’t think of a book that has had an impact on my career.

What two pieces of advice would you give a young aspiring artist?

My two pieces of advice would be to believe in your dreams and work hard to achieve them.

Who would you say are the three artists that continue to inspire you?

The three artists that continue to inspire me are Houdini, David Copperfield, Federico Fellini.

Do you have any books that you strongly associate with someone important in your life?

The book The Death and Resurrection Show: From Shaman To Superstar by Rogan P. Taylor will always remind me of one my most influential mentors, Vito Lupo.

The book I’ve recommended most is The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. Just because I’ve found in it something I believed already since I was a little kid.

Do you prefer fiction or non-fiction?

I prefer non-fiction.

Do you think reading is important?

Reading is our window for the imagination.

What’s the best book you’ve read in the last 6 months?

The best book I’ve read in the last 6 months is a book about the history of the art of magic edited by Taschen.

Do you prefer real books or digital books?

Only real books please! Even if I travel a lot.

Do you think there is a relationship between books and art?

Writing is creating so, I do think so!

Name a book that you feel every human should have to read by law.

I’d make them read my book!

What is the book that you feel has had the single biggest impact on your life?

I would have to say the aforementioned Houdini’s Escapes and Magic by Walter B. Gibson. There’s no doubt, he started my dream.

Are there any books you haven’t mentioned that you feel would make your reading list?

I can’t think of anymore, no.

What books or subject matter do you plan on reading in the next year?

I like to walk into old bookstores in every city I visit around the world. However, it is not me looking for the book, it is the right book that finds me.

If you were to write an autobiography – what would it be called?
